-   For lunches and dinners, nearby trattorias and local restaurants with an excellent quality/price ratio:

• Trattoria Il Contadino (open 7 days a week from midday to 10 pm. Operates on a “first-come, first- served” basis – reservations not accepted)
• Ostaria I Centopoveri (open 7 days a week. Lunches from midday to 3 pm; dinner from 7 pm – 11 pm)
• On the other side of the Arno (Oltrarno) there is also an excellent trattoria, I’Brindellone
• Another restaurant nearby, more costly but offering superb quality and well-known (Madonna dined there!), is Giovanni in via del Moro.
